Belen Pargas Solis - Director of Client Affairs / Directora de Asuntos del Cliente
Belen

Belen Pargas Solis joined the Immigrant Legal Center as Office Manager in October of 2014. Prior to that she worked as a Lead Teller for Wells Fargo Bank where she gained experience in customer service and built many relationships with the Latino Community of Longmont. In October of 2017 Belen received her OLAP* Accreditation and since then she has become the Director of Client Affairs.
Belen is committed in helping the immigrant community navigate their way through the complex immigration system helping ILCBC clients with initial consultations, Adjustment of Status, Consular Processing, Citizenship and more.

Belen's passion for immigration justice started when she was a member of LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens) at Skyline High School from which she graduated in 2010, and from being the proud daughter of immigrants. She was born in Zacatecas, Mexico and immigrated to the US at the age of 3. She herself had to navigate the immigration system. Her personal experience is what helps her connect with every person who comes through our doors.
Outside of the office, Belen enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with her husband, two kids, and her immediate family. Belen is bi-cultural and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Belen Pargas Solis se unió al Centro Legal Para los Inmigrantes como Gerente de Oficina en Octubre del 2014. Antes de eso, trabajó como Cajera Principal para el banco Wells Fargo donde ganó experiencia en servicio al cliente y estableció relaciones con la comunidad Latina de Longmont. En Octubre del 2017 Belén recibió su Acreditación OLAP* y desde entonces se ha convertido en Directora de Asuntos del Cliente. 

Belén está comprometida en ayudar a la comunidad de inmigrantes a navegar a través del complejo sistema de inmigración ayudando a los clientes de ILCBC con consultas iniciales, ajuste de estatus, procesamiento consular, ciudadanía y más.
La pasión de Belén por la justicia migratoria comenzó cuando era miembro de LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens) en Skyline High School de la que se graduó en el 2010, y de ser orgullosamente la hija de inmigrantes. Nació en Zacatecas, México y emigró a los Estados Unidos a la edad de 3 años. Ella misma tuvo que navegar por el sistema de inmigración. Su experiencia personal es lo que le ayuda a conectarse con cada persona que entra por nuestras puertas.

Maria Gordillo Villa - Director of Community Engagement / Directora de Participación Comunitaria

María Gordillo Villa joined the Immigrant Legal Legal Center of Boulder County in 2017 as an office manager. In 2019 she became Director of Community Engagement and is currently studying to receive her OLAP * accreditation. Maria works directly with DACA recipients providing them with legal assistance and informing and guiding them in all legal changes that arise.
Maria is originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico and comes from a family of immigrants who have taught her to value her Mexican roots. This has helped her connect on a personal level with ILCBC’s clients.

 Maria has done extensive community outreach to help and listen to the needs of our immigrant community. Maria has participated in various immigrant rights groups and currently serves as a board member of the Boulder County Latino Task Force and is Co-founder of Voces Unidas of Boulder County. With the help of other community leaders, she has organized forums, fundraisers, and “know your rights” training. In addition to her involvement with the immigrant community, she has experience working as a Juvenile Court Advocate - CASA for more than three years.
 Outside of the office, Maria enjoys spending time with her family, enjoying the nature that the state of Colorado has to offer, and learning about her Mexican roots. Maria is bicultural and is fluent in English and Spanish.

María Gordillo Villa se unió al Centro Legal De el Condado De Boulder en 2017 como gerente de oficina. En el 2019 se convirtió en Directora de Participación Comunitaria y actualmente está estudiando para recibir su acreditación de OLAP*. Maria trabaja directamente con los beneficiarios de DACA proporcionándoles asistencia legal y los informa y guía en todo tipo de cambios legales que se presentan. 
 
Maria es originaria de Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico y viene de una familia de inmigrantes que le han enseñado a valorar su raíces Mexicanas. Esto le ha ayudado a conectarse a nivel personal con los clientes del centro.  
 
Maria ha realizado un extenso alcance comunitario para ayudar y escuchar las necesidades de nuestra comunidad inmigrante. María ha participado en varios grupos de derechos de los inmigrantes y actualmente se desempeña como miembro de la junta directiva del Grupo Operativo Latino del Condado de Boulder y Co-fundadora de Voces Unidas. Con la ayuda de otros líderes comunitarios, ha organizado foros, eventos para recaudar fondos y capacitaciones para “conocer sus derechos”. Además de su participación con la comunidad de inmigrantes, tiene experiencia trabajando como Defensora de la Corte de Menores - CASA durante más de tres años.
 
Fuera de la oficina, a Maria le gusta pasar tiempo con su familia, disfrutar la naturaleza que ofrece el estado de Colorado y aprender acerca de sus raíces Mexicanas. Maria es bicultural y habla Inglés y Español con fluidez.
